Kenneth Cassar is a Special Effects Supervisor from Malta whose career began under the mentorship of his father, Mario Cassar. His work spans international film and television productions including Munich, Troy, Assassin's Creed, Spiderman and Tenet. Today he leads Extreme Effects, Malta's specialist practical-effects company, working across productions of every scale.

Kenneth Cassar takes the class inside the engineering side of practical effects: how an idea for the screen becomes a physical system that can actually perform on set. From custom rigs and mechanical devices to moving platforms, breakaways and purpose-built production tools, the focus is on solving effects through design, fabrication and real-world problem solving.

Drawing on decades of international production experience and the workshop culture of Extreme Effects, Kenneth explores the thinking behind building an effect from the ground up: understanding the shot, engineering the solution, testing the mechanism and turning machinery into something the camera believes.
